Atop one of the large towers in the courtyard a small figure crawled slowly across the titles outside. Smoke was still rising from many areas of the city from the recent angel attack but the citizens were doing their best to stamp out the fires while removing rubble from the streets. Thankfully the smoke was being caught from a westerly wind away from the guard tower in the sky.
She carefully removed a pair of binoculars from pouch and scanned the area bellow. The guards below held their positions outside of the gate conversing about the day's events. She would be down there with them to hold the piece but she had to watch over her own life. She couldn't trust anyone with the guard or the royals of the city at the moment if the rumors were true. Just thinking about what she was told made her disgusted to her stomach.
A commotion appeared at the top of the steps of the gate. Out came King Kalec being trailed by two horses saddled for a long journey. The pouch of items hung off one of the sides with the colors of Tireii so they were officials of the city. She wasn't sure where these horses were going but they had the blessing of the king on their travel.
More people were coming out of the gate and her fears were soon realized. The Hunter that came to the city walked out next to a large man. She felt a strange aura from him but couldn't figure out where his linage was from it. Behind those two was the two angels, one of white wings and the other of black skin that almost felt like the light was being sucked in around it. She held all of her strength to not jump down and slay them herself. How could the king ever side with angels, their mortal enemy? She was trained all her life to hunt down these creatures and now all of a sudden the great king of Tireii was in talks with them, and with another Hunter?
The Hunter and the man jumped up on their horse and continued to talk to the king and the savages. Even with her binoculars she couldn't read the lips to get a beat of where they were going but she would be able to keep up with them without knowing. Her horse was one of the fastest in the land, pure breed by the royals of Hansai for her duty. She'll be able to keep up and make her move soon enough.
The white winged angel was talking to the man extensively about something while the dark one with the Hunter. She still couldn't believe why a Hunter would betray her code to these beings. How did she know it wasn't they who perpetrated the whole attack on the city? It was unthinkable to even suggest any notion outside of a sword strike was ideal when dealing with the creatures. She and the people of this city have been poisoned through their mind somehow and she didn't like it one bit.
As the two riders turned around and started to trot to the city entrance she noticed the king talking to the angels. It sickened her to know that the royals of this city, the same ones she swore to protect, sided with the enemy. The king made his way back up to the gate as the white winged angel hid his wings from view. Even though he concealed his appearance the shear vibrations of his aura mixed with the dark one pierced her soul. She knew she would have to take care of them once her business with the Hunter was finished.
Just before she removed her binoculars she noticed the concealed angel look up in her direction with a joyful look on his face. She immediately stowed her equipment and slid down the back of the tower. It didn't matter if he saw her or not as she made her way along the rooftops to her steed. She was about to leave the city so he couldn't alarm anyone of her presence. His look did give her chills though, with a smile on his face like he knew she was there. Again, it was of no matter. She jumped down the side of one building to the next before hitting the paved ground. Her horse was geared to go and greeted her with a shake of his head. She climbed up on his back and flew through the western district to not raise suspicions.
She would put an end to this Hunter's heresy by any means necessary.
